Yup; none of these yahoos have any real idea of what a real depression is like, nor is it likely that they have any true experience with that kind of hardship. I know plenty of folks who have lived through the Great Depression and World War II, though, and they all would agree with you, and so do I. We've become too damn spoiled as a people, and I strongly doubt we can survive another Great Depression the way my grandparents did. Oh, the U.S. would probably still exist as a country, but it would be an even paler shadow of itself than it is now (just as Europe and the U.K. are now).
