True, but one of the 12 GP9s built with dual control lost its Steam Generator and dual controls and was assigned to freight service before it came from the T&NO to SP proper in the late 1950s. So for all intents, SP had 11 passenger GP9s with dual controls.
The 3010 that usually was assigned to the Sacramento Daylight was erroneously renumbered into the freight GP9 numbers (3422 or something like that) even though it was a passenger unit in Sac Daylight service. That was corrected a few years later and it was numbered 3010, on top of the 3000-3009 series.
