The old SP radio department was the worst in the country
I remember quite a few Dispatcher radios that were soo distorted and over modulated they would bleed 2 to 3 channels away. (they would go into wide band mode!)
To this day (even under UP) there are Detectors in Arizona and New Mexico that scream soo loud they can blow your ear drums out! WHY???
What the hell is the matter with the radio department, why can’t they fix these things, do they care? Why won’t the FCC take action against them?
If they can’t maintain the analog radios how will they be able to make the narrow band and digital work?
