Salt Lake City to West Valley City

On the Histoiric Areials website, with 1958 selected, I traced a rail line and roadbed south from the intersection of South Temple and 200 near the old Interurban Terminal in Salt City to a wye in what is now West Valley City in the vicinity of Homestad Farm Lane and 1950, 40.69288 -111.94389. More recent aerial photos on Google Earth and Historic Aerials show a fence where the northwest leg of the wye was.

I have found that there is a UP line in the vicnity and would like to know if this is a abandoned portion of this line?
