The study is to look into the possibility of converting the Badger to firing with natural gas. She will remain steam powered.

Paul, you put it too kindly. This EPA business has gone way too extreme and it is time to get a bit more reasonable. Frankly as a voter, I am getting quite tired of EPA extremism.

Coal runs the lights in most of the SE part of the United States. Hope they enjoy their blackouts when the coal plants start shutting down.

OK, Thanks for letting me vent a bit. The S.S.Badger is a NATIONAL TREASURE and should NOT be tampered with!!! Since I missed out on all the great ocean crossings by steamboat, I have long held a desire for a trip on the Badger!
