The folks tht operate Badger have known for years that at the end of 2012 the dumping permit would expire. That isn't news.

I and spouse have enjoyed an overnight on the Badger. The Badger need not be layed up, simply converted to eith LNG or oil. If you can do it, spend the nite aboard. It is a interesting experience. Be forwarned-those bunks are really small.

And Chinas' enviornmental policy is not one to emulate. Recall that substantially the whole country was shut down to attempt to clear the air for the Olympics. Or has that been forgotten ?
