Hey Marty-- Enjoyed your info on "Puzzle Switches" .. On my grandfather's 1/2-inch scale "Live Steam" layout in his basement in Oakland, CA-- he had a three-track mainline along one 45-foot side of the room and a couple of very detailed, handmade "puzzle switches" between them.
This fancy, detailed trackwork impressed a lot of visitors including a young "Russ Simpson" who then and there started up his famed "Simpson Products" model railroad business.
