I grew up riding the Marguerite to Victoria. My high school orchestra was invited to play in Victoria each year and that's how we got there (after lots of spagetti dinners to pay for it). It was a wonderful ship, and a shame it was scrapped - USGS regs on sewage disposal caught up with her. CP used to run a triangle route - Seattle to Victoria to Vancouver and then back, very classy service.
