Sierra Northern Files To Withdrawal

Interesting that Sierra Northern submitted a petition to the STB to withdraw on December 21, 2011, but even as late as Tuesday, December 27, 2011 the employees at the Santa Cruz operation did not appear to be aware of this.

When I stopped by the wye in Santa Cruz this past Tuesday morning they were unloading supplies moved from storage at ProBuild into a new storage area built at the wye the week before. Everything was proceeding like they would still be the common carrier after December 31st.
