I think anyone who posts a picture to the web is a bit foolish if they think that it will not be reproduced. And I think any attempt to control this through legislation, legal action, or technology is a waste of money, ours or anyone elses. I'm not against the preservation of intellectual property rights, but I am in favor of common sense and realism. If you don't want your intellectual property "borrowed", don't leave it sitting around on the internet. That is about as smart as leaving the keys in your car in the bad part of town with a sign in the window "please don't steal this car". I have posted pix on the internet and given folks prints and have been amazed at how this stuff gets copied, sold, printed, posted, and so on. It is a loosing battle. Either keep your stuff to yourself, or be happy that folks like it enough to share it....usually without asking. And most of that is done of good folks who could care less about the theoretical legal implications.
