Call a cab...get a Hi Railer.

A most unusual Hi Railer. This one was owned by the Pacific Great Eastern, predecessor of the British Columbia Railway. This well appointed vehicle was built by the Checker Motor Company that was more famous for building taxi cabs than railroad equipment. The photo was taken at North Vancouver, BC on August 23, 1968.
