Bizjak's a good writer and has some good insights. He should be commended for bringing up the operator's plight. There are lots of folks who want to excuse the driver of responsibilty because of the sequence of events but in the end, he made a morally indefensible choice that affected many innocent bystanders.

Ostrom: your comment about Dan Walters is imbecilic.
