Tejon Ranch/Times Mirror

I can remember about 20 years ago, the LA Times was criticized (and rightfully so,) for editorially suppressing coverage of a dispute over a hiking trail easement across Tejon Ranch property. Times Mirror was vehemently opposed to the trail but did not want the public to know about it.
