No, you're very right in what you say. I keep up my MSHS certification though I'm not actively
involved in mining at the moment. I keep up my site specifics at our two largest mine customers
in Nevada in addition to everything else I do. But, while this makes me a "professional" it also
is productive only in that it gets me on customer property. I've invested the value of my time
just to be able to set foot on their property. Their personnel are paid for their training time,
directly. We contractors, as you mention, may or may not be able to pass on these costs. There
is an end point to what time can be contributed to what ends and with the "individual" training
that is required for each customer that point gets closer and closer every year.
