Friend forwarded this to me today.
Thurs, Sept 21 2007, KREM 2 news in Spokane.
From a news tip, KREM 2 news discovered Watco company records piled in a doorless shed attached to the Rosalia, WA depot. Contained in the records was personal information including SS#s and names, birthdates, employee applications, company records including "Watco Budget 2000" and more. It is possible these records have been piled in this condition since Watco vacated the building after purchasing the Camas Prairie Railnet and moved its headquarters to East Lewiston, Idaho. Go to WWW.KREM.COM for details and video showing some of what was found. (www.krem.com/topstories/stories/krem2_092007_watcofiles.f395e81c.html)
Watco officials in Kansas were unaware of the situation, and after the story broke on TV, the Rosalia Town Marshall took and secured the records awaiting someone from Watco to come from Lewiston Friday (today) to recover them. Situation was called an "identity thieves paradise."
