Dear Ms. Voss,

As a single male, railfan of 21 years old, I think you are out of your mind. You are basing your stereotype for young single railfan off of some who neglect their hygiene and lack basic manners. However these fans are a minority at Winterail and the railfan community as a whole. I have had to spend my entire teenage and adult life dealing with people like you who either classify us young railfans as children or as second class citizens at railfan events simply because we are young. DO NOT stereotype an entire age group because of the worst cases, I can think of many examples of older people with bad hygene but do I stereotype you? NO. So get off your high horse and enjoy the hobby. Dont be mean-spirited about the youth of railfanning and ruin it for them or for yourself.

PS: I happen to be attending UCSB, graduating this year, a member of the Varsity Rowing Crew team, as well as a social person with good manners and excellent hygiene. Does this break your stereotype?
