George,
Thanks for your observations, but I have to correct you on a couple of things. The Santa Fe no longer exists, it is today part of BNSF Railway Company. Also, BNSF does not have any Districts, just Subdivisions. So the line you refer to is the BNSF Needles Subdivision. Also, per current Operating Rules, this is Multiple Main Track CTC Territory. From an observation standpoint, it is Bi-directional CTC but under the Operating Rules, you can't call it that either. Also note that on this Subdivision, there are 3 Main Tracks between Barstow and Daggett and West Needles and Needles. The rest is 2 Main Tracks CTC.
