>Actually, the last post I had from Dan was on WEdnesday Feb. 29 at 1:35 pm and it was a photo of a bald eagle perched on a tombstone at the national cemetery in Minneapolis MN. A typical patriotic message from Dan. In some ways, better that than one of the amazingly raunchy jokes he could come up with! :-)
When we were on our great train ride behind the 4449 from Minneapolis to Portland, he got interested in the purse I travel with and I helped him go online to get his wife one for Xmas. I told him that we women were very persnickity about our choice of purses and she may not be ecstatic over it, but apparently she liked it and used it, maybe to "appease" him.
To those of you who knew him and his penchant for organizing and documenting and etc, I think it is a blessing that Dan was spared being gorked out in some extended care facility and went quickly--------otherwise, there would be some extended care facility being terrorized by his eternal efforts to organize and orchestrate and manage and etc!! :-)And did you notice that his favorite ball cap says "Do Not Resuscitate".
