Just a note: It was never the Dawson Branch, but the Bailey Branch under SP -- the Bailey Branch cut west from the West Side Branch at Alpine Junction, just north of Monroe -- and later the Bailey District under P&W. God I miss Alpine Junction and the twice weekly (T-TH) freights thru there.
