Wow. Substations are the unsung players in the electric railroad archaeology part of the hobby. I was looking for other SN stations in the Sacramento area. Cool to know that there are other examples still around. They were seriously substantial structures and because of that they survived. Was it their substantial construction that made them too costly to demolish? Were they situated in areas that lent them to other uses? Good questions all. Your opinions? Please share.
