I know where this photo was taken. It is in Inglewood at the corner of Florence Ave and La Brea Ave. This was the Santa Fe's Harbor Subdivision. The busy road with dual street lights and power lines is Florence Ave. The La Brea Ave grade crossing is behind the photographer. Even today the road is elevated like the picture shows and there are still billboards there. The industry to the left of the train was still there in 2011. The empty fields to the left of the locomotive is now a Walgreens shopping center. The train is westbound/southbound headed towards the Harbor.
