Just what we need, more computers and goofy sensors to maintain. Biggest issue is liability if someone gets hit by a train that doesn't sound it's horn. Cities want the so called quiet zones but never want to take on the liability of what happens when someone dies. Much of this happens because people build their dream home next to a railroad track that has been there for a 100 years and then they decide they don't like the noise of the trains going by. Guess what, that's why the land was so cheap. But these days people expect everything to be changed for their whims and to hell with everybody else, doesn't matter what was there first, you are there now and it's gotta be changed. Works great until someone gets hurt and then they sue, sue, sue. Sorry about the rant, but you gotta write your own paper.
