Amtrak and WSDOT have returned one of the sidelined Talgo sets to service as of Sep. 29. I spotted the consist arriving in Portland about 3:00 PM (30 minutes late on the current modified schedule) as "Cascades" #1003 from Seattle yesterday afternoon with a P42DC for power. It would have gone back out again as #1006 at 3:30, assuming they were able to turn the train in time.
