Second ballast train is supposed to reach Spokane 16:00, but it's not for the derailment site. Just more dumping on soft spots. Light power being called south from Eastport to snatch the rear of the derailed train out of there.
My son and I were in that derailment area earlier this week. You're right, PNW. Not much access between Colburn Road and Pack River Bridge. But from Samuels road, there's a backroad along the west side of the track that brings you south to within about 1500 feet of the bridge. If the derailment is anywhere in that stretch, it's gonna be rail-only access to clean it up.
