I doubt you'd be so damn glib about that if you'd actually seen the condition those locomotives are in; all of those locomotives and the M.190 were in operable condition (or could've easily been restored to it) when they left New Mexico for the CSRM; now it'll probably take far more time and money than CSRM is probably willing (or able) to spend for just a cosmetic restoration. I was willing to give those clowns the benefit of the doubt before; now that I've had the chance to see M.190 up close in Belen, I'm not gonna give 'em a plugged nickel. If they didn't want to take care of the locomotives or weren't able to, then they should've given 'em to someone who could and would instead of allowing the entire collection to rust away and be trashed by punks and bums. If CSRM loses the shops, it'll probably be their own damn fault; you certainly won't see me crying over it.
Jim:
I've heard that some of the locomotives have been stored inside recently, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're still rusting away as before. Hopefully some of the craftsmen and volunteers there will get CSRM's so-called management to get off their fat arses and actually do something to protect those locomotives; given what's happened thus far, though, I doubt that'll ever happen.
