As far as I recall, the SDP45s got the Trainmaster 5-chime horns after the latter were retired. Also one GP9, 3010, had a 5-chime horn also. I don't believe any other GP9s had one. The other's had the less melodic (to me) 3-chime horns.

There's weren't in service on the Peninsula until the late 90s, but you would have heard these until the mid-80s in commute service.
