I drove down to Corsicana, TX with my daughter this evening to see UP 844. The Union Pacific GPS said 844 was in Cresline, TX. It was parked about 75 feet East of I-45 along Powell Pike in Corsicana. Maybe Cresline was a small town at one time.

I spoke with some UP personnel. They said the tires are still damaged. They are going to head to Hearne, TX in the morning, leaving Corsicana around 10:00am. 844 can not go more than 25-30 MPH due to the condition of the tires. UP will decide, in Hearne, what to do about the repairs. They are thinking about heading back to the Union Pacific Davidson Yard in Fort Worth.

I asked two different UP crew members about what actually happened. Both of them said, almost word for word, "Umm, I really don't know. Only the Operators know what happened for sure..."

I hope they get it repaired in Texas so it can finish the UP 150 Express tour.
