1. Unions aren't ipso facto socialist, although some espouse the philosophy.

2. Some union officers are good and upstanding, others are self serving and line their pockets. In this latter respect they're no different than Rushy Boy and a number of other Neocons.

>is it possible that some of these folks who want to steal my RR Retirement may really be communist's?

Excellent question. The Soviet Union's Bolshevik government was a dictatorship of the rich and self-appointed. Following Lenin's vituperative examples, they also encouraged idealistic types to make loud, non-negotiable demands to bring things to a standstill. I see a lot of similarities with the Neocons.

>RR Retirment isn't broke, neither is Social Security,

Maybe we should describe it this way: RRB isn't going to run out of money in the next 60 years; SSI will if the current state of affairs continues (the Congressional sticky fingers in the cookie jar).

>Barry, I would much rather listen and pay my union leader than to let one worthless polititian put their grimy filthy grubby fat fingers on my retirement.

Amen to this. I did over 41 years, and the unions aren't perfect, far from it. However, working for the rrs without them would be a Dickensian nightmare, a throwback to the bad old days of the 1880s.
