Only a couple of short stretches are 25 MPH, speed in this area is 10 MPH. (Even at 10 MPH things can get ugly with a 100 or so loads pushing up against the problem). 6-axle power has lower weight per axle than the 4 axle power used on the line by other operators. BN/BNSF ran GP-50's and on occasion LMX's on the line which are very heavy. (LMX units were the heaviest 4-axle units on the BN, beat out after the BNSF merger by the former Santa Fe Dash 8-40BW's).
