Cameron Junction Double Wye Question...

Is the Cameron Junction connection (double wye) west of Galesburg, Illinois actually a recently built double wye connection to accomodate multiple Amtrak Route to consolidate them between that wye and Chicago on the same trackage? Or has this double wye been there for a longer period of time.
