What is this facility?

While viewing google maps last night, I found a large facility with many railroad tracks though it appears to be devoid of railcars. It features multiple tracks which run through two different buildings. What was this facilities purpose? Were railcars ever manufactured in Southern California? Upon viewing google street view, I can see railcar truck side frames and other pieces south of San Sevaine Way. This location is (34.014313, -117.515855) in Glen Avon and bounded by Etiwanda Avenue, Van Buren Blvd., CA Route 60, and Mission Blvd. I'll be in Pomona on Tuesday and will try to do my own drive by.
