Is it really necessary to slam advocates for persons with disabilities here? Couldn't you simply ask how the museum dealt with ADA requirements without dragging a group which may not necessarily have anything to do with the museum into this thread?
I'n not part of the disabled community, but my professional occasionally brings me to transportation advocates for persons with disabilities, so I gain some of their perspective on things.
Moreover, all it takes is one bad accident or to be severly injured by a gunshot and I could have a permanent disability. And unless you have an awesome crystal ball which predicts that you will be able-bodied for the rest of your life, you are no different then me.
Maybe you would deal with such a situation differently, but if I wound up having disabling injury, I would be thankful for the ADA and those who advocate for its compliance.
