The tunnel has been undergoing extensive rehabilitation since March. All the rail, joint bars and plates in the tunnel have been replaced and proper drainage is being reestablished. The ties are in excellent shape. Currently an outside contractor is replacing the rotted redwood timber sets in the tunnel with steel sets. Damaged and rotted lagging is also being replaced. How could you conclude RCBT&P does not have the finances to maintain a railroad?
