Saturday May 5, 2012 was a nice sunny day, although a bit windy. EWG had 33 loads of grain moving east from Davenport WA to Cheney WA. Power was NIWX 2891, an SD40T-2R "Tunnel Motor" and WRIX 3000, a SD40-2. Both rare locos in 2012.
2891 was built Jul 1975 as D&RGW 5362, Builder Number 756046-7. It became UP 4049, then 8619, finally 2891.
3000 was built as UP 3164, Feb 1972, Builder Number 7334-42, retired by UP on 1/24/2008 and sold to dealer Larrys Truck Electric. It came to the Utah Southern (USRC) on 10/16/2008. It and sister 3001 have been at Dealer
Western Rail for several months.

The train is passing through Reardan WA
The next two pictures show the train approaching Tramm Rd, east of Reardan
Well off the beaten path, the train approaches the Mission Rd crossing west of the Hite elevator.
Beginning the descent down to Deep Creek, the dynamic brakes are singing as the train approaches Sprague Rd.
Between Sprague Rd and Cheney, I shot 5 minutes of video. Good sounds! You may view it here:

This last picture shows the train pulling into track 2 in the Cheney yard
Thanks for looking.
