Hold up there Tex. For starters, when the 712 came to Portola it was NOT running, IE we got a broken locomotive...the 917A was also a Broken Locomotive...we had that one running within days of it's arrival in Portola. Likewise, the SN 712 will be returned to service as well. She was part of a consist for the recent Railfan photographer Day. A well received addition from what we heard.

As to her security at Portola....That is not open to debate. Her future with Portola is a helluva lot more secure and bright than it was at her last home. She is not going anywhere.

If you are one of the hard working WRM people that worked on her once before, how about you put your drink down, sober up and come on up and help us put her back to the way you once had her.
