Periodically in rail to trail conversions, the question of whether a trail has ever been converted back to rail comes up. I draw your attention to at least one instance of re-conversion that is happening.
As reported in Tonight's
Trainnews, the STB has authorized RJ Corman to relay track on a railbed in Pennsylvania, of which a portion is a trail. The
Progressive Railroading story is titled "STB authorizes R.J. Corman to build Pennsylvania line".
