Arkley pretty much survived his tiff with B of A. Although Security National took a hit in the "recession" he's been lucky and turned downtown Eureka into a West Coast version of "Cafe Society." His "Marina Center" which was to anchor with a "Home Depot" is the old NWP yard and Balloon and has yet to turn a shovel of earth, but he's convinced "we showed them what we can do with the Marina Center" now lets build a railroad to Gerber and become the doorstep to the World. Arkley and his wife are heavy patrons of the arts and enjoy manipulating the world of high finance from their rural hideout in Humboldt County. Father Robyn Arkley Sr was owner of Blue Lake Forest Products, one of the shippers on the Arcata & Mad River Railroad.
