Thanks, CAJON, For helping to defend my witty remarks. After all, it was the movie " Duel ",( as mentioned by Coleman Randall ), that inspired me to become a truck driver !!! The scene where the tanker driver is trying to shove Dennis Weaver into the side of the Espee train is a real corker.
BTW, jst3751, I too drove the I-5 truck bypass 4-5 nights a week from 1989 to 1995. I always thought it quite odd; the choice of many " 4 wheelers " to take the truck route, when the whole idea of the bypass was to move the trucks out of the way of the cars. Maybe the BBQ'ed baby will make some folks think twice next time.
Now on to something important... when is the Governator going to approve funding for the L.A. to NorCal Maglev Hispeed rail thingie, so all the cars will disappear from I-5 ???
