Peninsula Terminal Co. in north Portland, Oregon is a little over a mile long. Originally a part of the Portland Union Stockyards, they operated with steam until the mid 1960's when they used a GE 50-tonner and later a GE 70-tonner.

Current operations use an EMD SW-1200 and their traffic is mostly tank car transloading. The operation can be viewed from Amtrak northbound just prior to going over the Columbia Slough bridge on the right side where their line makes an S-curve and goes under the BNSF main.
