I finally found a reason to criticize the Central Coast excursion committee. On Saturday, May 19, 2012, #3751 crossed the Colorado River from Parker, AZ to Earp, CA. Now, if the committe had been on the ball, they would have had Al Jolson standing on the pilot singing "California Here I Come!". I guess that comes a bizarre imagination since Jolson died in 1951. There is a coincidence, though, between Jolson and this locomtive. Jolson filmed "The Jazz Singer" in 1927, the same year #3751 took shape at the Baldwin Locomotive Works.
