The Siskiyou Line, closed since 2008, was once an essential part of the local infrastructure system, allowing local timber companies like Roseburg Forest Products and Timber Products, as well as many others, to ship their products economically and efficiently to markets outside of the region.

I'm a bit perplexed by these statements. I was under the impression that A)they were really the only 2 active shippers prior to severing the line, and B) all this was mostly for cheaper/easier shuttling of product between facilities on the line rather than shipping out.
