The Dinner Train returning to McCloud is a pipe dream. They are not going to be able to run a profitable operation with only two dining cars. The third car is the so called Dance Car and it looks like the exterior is falling apart the last time I saw it a few weeks ago. Im afraid this guy is blowing smoke to appease the local citizens because if the Siskiyou and Shasta were roadworthy for mainline service he would have drug them out of there like he did the other three. One of the SD units is also going to hit the road so what ever is left, in my opinion, will haul the rest of the junk out of McCloud before they scrap the rest of the line. Tourist season is now and if there had been any plans they would have been done by now. The dinner train was about breaking even with five cars so Im afraid there isa lot of smoke in the air over this promise.
