Never went East of the trestle just West of Dozier (the SN was an East-West railroad).

>I can't tell where the connection would be from UP to the old line -- AHA! Found a connection using Bing (better-exposed photos - kind of muddy in Google - and being able to pan around in the bird's eye view helps) near McAvoy Road in Pittsburg.
McAvoy Road is named for the OA&E/SF-S/SN station McAvoy, which is also the connection (interchange) between the SP's line to Tracy and this now isolated part of the SN. From McAvoy through the underpass to Pittsburg etc., the track has been out of service for at least 15 years (and the underpass flooded).
