Glendale UP Branch (SP Trackage Rights)

In doing some internet searching on the UP Glendale Branch near the end in the 1980s, it appears that the UP used trackage rights on the SP to get from Taylor Yard to the last piece of the branch in Glendale (learn something new every day).

I'm assuming that this was put into place when the trackage on Humbuldt was abandoned (maybe 1970s).

Anyway, just curious if anyone has any extra info on that.

Oh, and when you go down Humboldt, there is a sudden jog in the street at Avenue 26. Did the tracks actually jog there? Seems pretty tight.
