Charles,
The UP branch to Monterose/Glendale never went on Humbolt St. That was the UP's or LA&SL line to Pasadena.

It was trackage rights on the SP to the Glendale brance but it was UP tracks to the Pasadena line. As the Eastbank line was UP track to Taylor Junction.
