What really, truly, scared me the most, is reading GGZ's post about becoming a railfan in 1972. As I read those words, I thought (and please forgive me), "what an old fart Galloping Goose is..." But then I stopped and thought, "Hey, wait a minute, I started railfanning two years before the old fart!... I'm the old fart."

Look, I wish the Erie Lackawanna E8s of my youth were still around, but they're not. I don't like GEVOs nearly as much as anythng from my youth, but listening to a couple of them pulling a train up a grade is still pretty dang cool.
