Locomotive engines aren't big cored cast pieces like automobile or truck motors but rather
an assembly of some fabricated, some cast pieces which have fairly large allowances for
expansion. Glycol, especially in situations of temperature extreme, is very difficult to seal
and you'd end up with a perpetual leaker. A sticky, smelly, dirt attracting leaker!!
