It might have been in 1971 that I was firing for Dan Ranger on Shay 11 at the Junction. During a pause in the operations, I got up on the oil bunker, reached down and grabbed the dipstick to check the fuel oil level. I only got it a couple of feet in the air when Dan, his voice dripping with sarcasm, advised me not to go much further as there was energized 600 volt wire directly above us. That stopped me right quick and I never repeated that faux pas.
