The 61-car Ringling Brothers Blue Unit moves from Anaheim to Oakland on Monday and Tuesday, via the Palmdale-Colton Cutoff, Tehachapi and Sacramento.

Currently showing an anticipated 10 AM departure from Anaheim on Monday, which means a mid-afternoon trip up the Cutoff, evening over Tehachapi, early Tuesday morning out of Bakersfield, around noontime through Sacramento, and mid- to late-afternoon into Oakland. However, the times can vary greatly.

Currently assigned power is UP5407 - UP7715 - UP2327 (subject to change).

In Oakland, the passenger cars will be parked as usual ins Track 9 and 10 (farthest over towards BART) in the East Oakland Yard (south of 5th Avenue), while the flats and animals will be on the Elmhurst (a.k.a. "Circus Train") Siding between 85th and 98th Avenues. Please note that there is no public access to UP's East Oakland Yard, although the cars will be visible on public property from a distance. Conversely, there is a public road the parallels the Elmhurst Siding between 85th and 98th.

The train will next move from Oakland to San Jose early on the morning of Monday, August 13th.

After that, they will play San Diego, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Stockton, Salt Lake City and Denver, then head to St. Louis and points east. Consult their website at [www.ringling.com] for details. Thus, you'll have two more opportunities to this year to catch the train on Tehachapi and Cajon.
