I'm riding in Portland's annual "Bridge Pedal" bicycle event this Sunday, and one of the bridges the route crosses is the Fremont, which overlooks Albina Yard on the east bank and the BNSF main line on the west bank. I should be able to get some really good "aerial" shots of the yard and these cars.

When I rode on this event several years ago, while stopped on the Fremont Bridge, I managed to catch an overhead shot of Amtrak "Cascades" #500 as it departed Portland on its run to Seattle.

The other Interstate highway bridge the event crosses, the Marquam Bridge on the south end of downtown Portland, has a good view of the new Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

The 4449 and the 700 were sitting outside the building today as I drove by.
